DRE Residential are proud to be based within the impressive high rises of Canary Wharf. We have been located within this vibrant business district for over 20 years and have seen some significant changes to the area over the years. Circa the 1900’s, the Docklands was a steady importer of fruit. Canary Wharf took its name after the place of the fruit’s origin, the Canary Islands. Canary Wharf is situated on the West India Docks on the Isle of Dogs, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and is one of the UK’s leading financial districts. It is home to the UK’s 2nd tallest building, One Canada Square, standing at 235M tall.

Due to the large number of financial firms that operate in the area, there is a high demand for properties from professional workers. If you want to buy or rent in Canary Wharf, some of the developments to look out for are Harcourt Gardens, Good Luck Hope and One Thames Quay.

Not only is Canary Wharf a great place to work, but it is also a great place to live. The area is full of bars, restaurants, and outdoor spaces with waterfront views. Canary Wharf is also great for shopping and boasts three malls: Jubilee Place, Canada Place & Cabot Place. It is also the home to the largest Waitrose in the UK. It even has an international airport, London City Airport, with multiple daily flights to key European destinations.
